With a distinguished 39-year career in the funeral profession, Rodney Nay has dedicated 35 years to serving families through Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay, IN, and Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison, IN. A 1986 graduate of Mid-America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, IN, Rodney has been recognized both statewide and nationally for his commitment to excellence in funeral service. Among his many accolades, he was named Funeral Director of the Year (2014) by American Funeral Director Magazine. Under his leadership, Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre has received numerous honors from the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), including: - Pursuit of Excellence Distinctions (2014-2024) - Best of the Best Finalist (2016) - Best of the Best Honorable Mention (2019) - NFDA Hall of Fame Induction (2023) - Richard Meyers Pinnacle Award (2024) Rodney’s dedication extends beyond his profession into civic service. He was awarded the Distinguished Hoosier Award (2015) by the Governor of Indiana and the Indiana Department of Veteran Affairs for his outstanding contributions to the state. Since 2009, he has served as the community coordinator for Wreaths Across America in Jefferson County, ensuring the annual tribute to fallen veterans. His commitment to community engagement has also earned him recognition from the Madison/Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, including the Business Citizenship Award (2010) and Best Customer Service Award (2024). Additionally, he has served multiple terms as coroner and deputy coroner for both Switzerland and Jefferson Counties. In 2021, he was honored with induction into the Alumni Hall of Fame at Madison Consolidated High School. Rodney remains an active member of both the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) and the Indiana Funeral Directors Association (IFDA), where he has previously held leadership roles. A native of Deputy, IN, in Jefferson County, he takes great pride in his family, which includes his daughter, Morgan, and two grandsons. Rodney’s lifelong commitment to compassionate service, professional excellence, and community involvement continues to define his leadership at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre.
