William Robert "Billy Bob" Bishop Obituary (1956

Mr. William "Billy Bob" Robert Bishop, age 65, of Hanover, Indiana, entered this life on July 16, 1956 in Greensburg, Indiana. He was raised in Westport, Indiana and graduated from South Decatur High School in 1973. He was inducted into the United States Air Force. Billy Bob was united in marriage to Gail Garlinghouse and this union was blessed with a son, Sean. He was united in marriage to Kimberly Smith on June 28, 1997 and this union was blessed with a daughter, Sarah. He worked several years at Arvin Sango and then with Meese Orbitron Dunn in Madison. He last worked for Sparkman Saw Mill for three years. He was united in marriage on February 8, 2000 in Jennings County to Debbie Gregory and this union blessed him with three step-children, Crystal, Ashley and Bryan. He was a gifted guitarist and played all of his life. Merle Haggard was his musical icon that he looked up to. He enjoyed singing, fishing, following NASCAR, camping, playing with his grandchildren, and drinking a good cup of coffee. Billy Bob died on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at 9:55 a.m. at the Norton Hospital in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. Please Click Here to View the Video Tribute Please Click Here to View the Funeral Service Recording A LOVING FAMILY Billy Bob will be missed by his loving former wife and companion of 22 years, Debbie Gregory Bishop of North Vernon, Indiana; his loving daughter, Sarah Thomas and her husband, Chad of North Vernon, Indiana; his step children, Crystal Bowen and her husband, John of Waynesville, Indiana, Ashley Beiswanger and her husband, Richard of Oceanside, California, Bryan Beiswanger and his wife, Kelsey of North Vernon, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jesse, Jaxxon, Sidnee, Zach, Andrew, and Danielle; 11 step grandchildren; his great grandchild, James; his very best friends, Ron "Red Ear" Perkinson and Robert "Robbie" Willis; his sisters, Betty Scully and her husband, John of Madison, Indiana, Frieda Summers of Shoals, Indiana, Judy Stuehrenberg of North Vernon, Indiana, Sara Hancock and her husband, Gayle of Greensburg, Indiana; his brother, Terry Bishop and his wife, Emma of North Vernon, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by father, Charles Bishop, mother, Mary Maxine Harrison Bishop, his son, Sean Bishop, his brothers, Fred Bishop and Rick Bishop, his sister, Mary Jane Bishop. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Rock Creek Cemetery near Westport, Indiana at a later date. VISITATION Friends may visit Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
