He was raised in De Witt, Arkansas and attended school there. He was united in marriage on Feb. 14, 1992 to Belinda S. Aaron in Forrest City, Arkansas. This union was blessed with one son. He was employed with Ingram Barge for 18 years as a captain. He had worked the past three years with Marquette Transportation in Paducah, Kentucky as a tug boat captain. He enjoyed riding his Haley Davidson Motorcycle and boating at the lake. He enjoyed collecting guns and being with family and friends. He was a member of the Harley Davidson Club and had resided in Jasper the past 18 years.
