Vincent Damon "Vince" Roberts Obituary (1967

Mr. Vincent "Vince" Damon Roberts, age 49, of Hanover, Indiana entered this life on October 6, 1967 in Madison, Indiana. He was the loving son of Jesse W. and Cleon J. Griffin Roberts. He resided all of his life in Jefferson County and was a 1986 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. He worked in his teenage years at Dave's Shurway in Madison. On January 6, 1995 he was united in marriage to Anne Marie Francis in Madison, Indiana. He was currently a machine operator at Madison Precision for the past 28 years. He held membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was very involved with church. He also was a Scout Leader for Boy Scouts Troop 730. He loved being a Boy Scout Leader and helping young people. Vince found enjoyment in camping and always having a home improvement project in the works. He also loved history especially Civil War and reenactments. Vince enjoyed shooting guns with friends from church and was very interested in genealogy and had worked hard to trace back much of the Roberts family lineage. Vincent died on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at 12:19 a.m. at the Hosparus Inpatient Unit of Norton Pavilion in Louisville, Kentucky. Click Here for Tribute Video A LOVING FAMILY Vincent will be missed by his loving wife of 22 years, Anne Marie Francis Roberts of Hanover, Indiana; his father, Jesse Roberts of Madison, Indiana; his son, Jared Roberts of Hanover, Indiana; his step daughter, Danielle Simpson and her husband, Kevin of Tennyson, Indiana; his step son, Brandon Smith of Hanover, Indiana; his grandson, Zaylor Smith; his step grandchildren, Logan Simpson and Autumn Simpson; his sister, Dariel V. Roberts Courtney and her husband, Keith of Madison, Indiana; his father in law and mother in law, Clifton, Jr. and Marian Francis of Avon, Indiana; his brothers in law and sisters in law, Janelle and Jack O'Brien of Madison, Indiana, Samuel and Sole Francis of Charleston, South Carolina, Nathan and Susan Francis of Syracuse, Utah; his aunt, Ruth Rogers of Bedford, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cleon J. Griffin Roberts, died September 10, 2013, his brother, Darnell William Roberts, died October 22, 1961, and his grandparents, Howard James and Blanch O. Wise Griffin and William Everett and Sarah O. Bradshaw Robert. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., by Bishop Richard Johnson at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 1113 Michigan Road in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Bayless Cemetery in Madison, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may call Friday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana and Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 1113 Michigan Road in Madison, Indiana .
