Timothy Carroll "Tim" Rector Obituary (1959

Mr. Timothy Carroll "Tim" Rector, age 66, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on January 8, 1959 in Jefferson County, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late George Carroll and Laura Jean Patterson Rector. He resided all of his life in Jefferson County and was a 1977 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. He then attended Electricians Trade School. He was united in marriage on April 18, 1982 to Carolyn Dunlap in Madison, Indiana. This union was blessed with one son, Michael. He worked as an electrician with the Jefferson Proving Ground for several years and later was manager of the Bass Pro Shop. On November 22, 2009, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Anne Bruce Moore in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. This union blended two families together. He last worked for Keach's Electric as an electrician until he suffered a stroke. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed sports, especially IU basketball, Colts football, and Cincinnati Reds baseball. He enjoyed hunting and fishing earlier in life. He was awaiting the birth of his first grandson. Tim died on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 10:09 p.m. at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital Emergency Room in Madison, Indiana. Please Click Here to View the Video Tribute Please Click Here to View the Funeral Service Recording A LOVING FAMILY Timothy will be missed by his loving wife of 16 years, Elizabeth Anne Bruce Moore of Madison, Indiana; his son, Michael Rector and his partner, Brittney McClintock of Madison, Indiana; his grandchildren, Kailyn Rector, Felicia Rector, Allie Rector, and Whitney Rector; his stepdaughters, Rebecca Alexander and her husband, Jeff of Milton, Kentucky and Jennifer Mason and her husband, Monty of Madison, Indiana; his step grandchildren, Balie Adcock and Abby Mason; his step great-grandchildren, Henlee and Elaine; his brother, George Rector of Princeton, Texas and his brother-in-law, Robert Bruce and his wife, JoAnna of Texas; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Carroll and Laura Jean Patterson Rector; his brother, Terry; and his sisters, Sue and Carol. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Jacob Adcock at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow at a later date in the St. Patrick Cemetery, 305 West State Street in Madison, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may visit Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
