Steve A. Humphrey

Mr. Steve A. Humphrey, age 71 of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on November 27, 1951 in Madison, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Cecil H., Sr. and Jessie Lee Meeks Humphrey. He resided all of his life in Jefferson County and attended school there. He was a self employed construction worker. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Backus and they were blessed with two sons, Brian and Jamie. He held membership in the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 Sons of the American Legion and the Madison Moose Lodge No. 765. He enjoyed fishing, especially in tournaments. Steve died on Monday, June 26, 2023, at 6:30 a.m. at his home in downtown Madison, Indiana.

A LOVING FAMILY Steve will be missed by his loving companion of 19 years Mary Thompson of Madison, Indiana; his sons, Timothy Brian Humphrey of Canaan, Indiana, and Jamie Humphrey of Madison, Indiana; his grandchildren, Trevor, Brady and Megan; his great grandchildren; Lincoln, Avery, Kynlee, and Lance; his brothers, Ronnie Humphrey of Milton, Kentucky, Mike Humphrey of Milton, Kentucky; his sister, Ruthie Sarver of LaGrange, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil H. Humphrey, Sr., his mother, Jessie Lee Meeks Humphrey, his brothers and his sister, Tony Humphrey, Gary Nolan Humphrey, Cecil H. Humphrey, Jr., and Nancy Heston.
