Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of Mrs. Shirley A. Jones Marcelle Mrs. Shirley A. Jones Marcelle, age 83, of Lexington, Indiana entered this life on March 3, 1935 in Greenfield, Ohio. She was the loving daughter of the late Harlan V. and Cecile L. McCartney Jones. She was raised in Ohio and was a 1953 graduate of Wayne High School in Washington Courthouse, Ohio. On May 6, 1961 Shirley was united in marriage to David Marcelle at the Kent Baptist Church. This happy union of 42 years was blessed with daughters, Faith, Judy, Ruth and sons, Gilbert and David. She was a devoted wife, loving Mother and Granny. She was a homemaker all of her life and enjoyed being a member of 4-H as well as a leader. She had resided in the Kent community since 1956 and was a faithful member of the Kent Baptist Church where she helped teach Bible school. Shirley enjoyed crocheting, reading, and caring for her grandchildren. Shirley died on Monday, June 18, 2018, at 12:26 a.m. at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Click Here for Tribute or Funeral Service VideoA LOVING FAMILY Shirley will be missed by her loving daughters, Faith Austin and her husband, David of Lexington, Indiana, Ruth Madden and her husband, Jim of Hanover, Indiana; her loving sons, Gilbert "Buster" Marcelle and his fiancee, Jennifer Lawson of Palmyra, Indiana, David Marcelle and his fiancee', Lisa Davis of Lexington, Indiana; her son in law, Ben Lunsford of Lexington, Indiana; her grandchildren, Annie Copealnd (Jason), Justin Austin(Heather), Derek Austin (Meagin), Mickey Goins, Ashley Ferguson (Nathan), Cory Owen (Samantha), Emily Benken, Shannon Frazier, Dakota and Dylan Marcelle, Brittany Dyer (Trent), and Lucy Marcelle; her great grandchildren, Laurel, Benjamin & Elijah Copeland; Karma Austin, Percy Austin, Davy Austin, Frankie Austin, Joseph Goins, Jacob Goins, Colt Ferguson, Chloe Ferguson, Jax Owen, Marshall Owen, Troy Tolvert, her step grandchildren, Markt Austin (Sierra), Dave Austin (Amy), Jessica Ann Berna, Trenton Davis, and Courtney Davis; her step great grandchildren, Hailey Austin, Katie Austin, Dakota Austin, and Mercedes Austin, Carson Schrink and Tatum Davis. She was preceded in death by her father, Harlan V. Jones died, July 9, 1982, her mother, Cecile L. McCartney Jones, died December 11, 1977, her husband of 42 years, David Marcelle, died January 23, 2003, her daughter, Judy Marcelle Lunsford, died July 13, 2017, her grandsons, Nicholas David Austin died March 3, 2012 and Bradley Paul Austin, died January 23, 2018, and her daughter in law, Delene Marcelle, died July 5, 2014. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., by Bro. Dan Corbin at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre - Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Kent Cemetery in Kent, Indiana VISITATION Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre - Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, Indiana.MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS Memorial contributions may be made to the Kent Cemetery Association.
