Madison, Indiana
Mrs. Sherrie Twila McQuiggan Grabbe, age 63, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on January 13, 1959 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of the late Milton H. and Doris Murphy Grabbe. Raised in Madison, Sherrie graduated from the Indianapolis School for the Deaf in 1977 and went on to study at the Missouri School for the Deaf in Fenton, Missouri. Sherrie was united in marriage to Thomas McQuiggan and this union was blessed with three children, James, Jennifer, and Jane to whom she was a devoted mother. Sherrie worked as a stocker at the Madison Wal-Mart. She savored time with her kids and grandkids leaving them each the treasure of happy memories such as her delight in telling jokes. Perhaps most central to who she was, Sherrie was a woman of faith being a member of the Madison Assembly of God Church (formerly First Assembly). Each day, she spent time in God's Word growing in her walk with Him. It was these times of communion with Him that gave her the strength to stay positive even through the difficult trials of the recent years that brought her much loss. On Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 5:11 a.m. Sherrie left behind the trials of this earth to finally take her seat at the feet of Jesus. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, but they rejoice in her strong faith being made sight.
