Richmond H. Russell Obituary (1938

Mr. Richmond H. "Rich" Russell, age 72, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on December 14, 1938 in Coalfield, Tennessee. He was the son of the late, Sim Lee & Liola Eva Hallcox Russell. He was raised in Coalfield and graduated High School there in 1956. He moved to Dayton, Ohio in 1956 and worked with Reliance Electric moving to Madison in 1960. He attended trade school in Dayton where he learned the Tool & Die trade. He was united in marriage in 1963 to Marlene J. Howell. This union was blessed with three sons. He worked with Reliance & American Can in the Tool & Die trade until 1973. He then opened, Hilltop Machine & Tool and operated that business until 1984. He then worked in sales with Mid West Art Metals until 1999, when he went to work in sales with Mid West Tube Mills until his death. Rich was united in marriage to Fay E. Ferguson Hewitt on Feb. 16, 1985 in Campbell County, Tennessee. He was a faithful member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church. Rich enjoyed fishing, caring for his yard, gardening, and Tennessee Football. Rich died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 2:30 a.m. at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Russell & his wife, Lisa of Madison, Indiana; his step sons: Darryl Hewitt of Madison, Indiana, Michael Hewitt & his wife, Heather of Indianapolis, Indiana; his step daughter: Elizabeth Broadus & her husband, Steve of Madison, Indiana; his grandchildren: Kyle, Steven, Nicholas, Miles, Peyton & Alexander; his great grandson: Braysen; his step grandchildren: Noah, Eric, Rebecca, Devyn, Abigail, Duncan & Presley; his sisters: Otella Pulliam of Dayton, Ohio, Marilyn Ooten & her husband, Garland of Douglasville, Georgia; his brothers: Mitchell Russell of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Gary Russell & his wife, Cheryl of Douglasville, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews & other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sim Lee & Liola Eva Hallcox Russell; his brothers, Sanford, Ross, Chalmer & Austin Russell; his sisters, Rosie Brown & Josephine Russell. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 1:30 p.m., by the Rev. Mike Johnson at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 221 Kuntz Road in Hanover, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens near Madison, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may call Friday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana and Saturday from 12 Noon until time of the service at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 221 Kuntz Road in Hanover, Indiana.
