Rick Wolf

Richard Wayne "Rick" Wolf, 65, of Madison, Indiana, passed away on July 9, 2026 in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on May 11, 1961, in Madison, Indiana, Rick was the son of the late Richard C. Wolf and Vera Mae Furnish Wolf.

Rick grew up in Switzerland County, where he was active in 4-H. He graduated with honors from Switzerland County High School in 1979 and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Hanover College. After college, Rick spent several years living in Germany before returning home to Madison, where he devoted himself to caring for his father until his father's passing.

Rick worked as a laborer in manufacturing throughout his career, but it was outside of work where his passions truly shone. He was a gifted, self-taught musician who could play the piano and just about any instrument by ear. Most recently, he shared that talent by playing at Indian-Kentuck Baptist Church. Rick also loved playing basketball, softball, and volleyball. When he wasn't playing, he could be found cheering on his favorite teams, including IU Basketball, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Cincinnati Reds.

Rick will be missed by his daughter, Kristen Wolf; his mother, Vera Mae Furnish Wolf of Madison, Indiana; his brother, Randy Wolf (Renee) of Rising Sun, Indiana; his sisters, Jeanie Kidwell (Jason) of Lexington, Indiana and Becky Lykins (Wes) of Austin, Indiana; his uncle, Earl Wayne "Poodle" Furnish of Vevay, Indiana; his several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and other relatives. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Richard C. Wolf; his grandparents, Roy and Agnes Wolf, Earl and Hazel Furnish.

In accordance with Rick's wishes, cremation was chosen, and no public services will be held.
