Richard Moss Winston

Mr. Richard Moss Winston, known by his loved ones as Rich, passed away on October 11, 2026 in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on December 11, 1960, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, Richard was the cherished son of R.M. (Junior) Winston and Joanne Sanders Winston, both of whom preceded him in death. Following his graduation from Madison Consolidated High School in 1979, where he was a standout basketball player, Richard made Madison, Indiana, his home. He served as a dedicated Unit Operator for Kentucky Utilities for nearly four decades before his well-earned retirement. Richard's love for UK Basketball and Football was well-known, as was his enjoyment of the outdoors. He spent many cherished hours working in his yard and gardening.

Rich will be missed by his loving companion Jeanne Licklider Brindley and her daughter Olivia; his sister Nancy Franscini (Lucien) of Arlington, Texas; his brother Mark Winston (Susan) of Hanover, Indiana; his five nephews Stephan Franscini of Arlington, Texas, Winston Franscini of Denton, Texas, Riley Winston of Hanover, Indiana, Bradley Winston of Hanover, Indiana and Braydon Winston of Hanover, Indiana; his great nephew Luke Franscini; his great niece Paislee Franscini; his aunt Peggy Clark of Memphis, Indiana; his several cousins and other relatives. Rich was preceded in death by his parents RM (Junior) Winston and Joanne Sanders Winston; his grandparents.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
