Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of Mr. Raymond Scott Beagles

Mr. Raymond Scott Beagles, age 63, of Dupont, Indiana entered this life on March 5, 1956 in Plymouth, Indiana. He was the son of the late Dr. R. W. and Kathryn Upton Beagles. Scott as he was known had resided with his family in Jefferson County since the age of three. His father served as the dentist at the Madison State Hospital for 30 years. Scott was baptized on April 4, 1971 at the Hanover United Presbyterian Church in Hanover, Indiana. He graduated in 1974 from Southwestern High School in Hanover, Indiana. On June 21, 1975 he was united in marriage to Angela G. Bruner at the Hanover College Chapel. In the fall of 1975 he resumed his education at Purdue University earning a bachelor's degree in Land Surveying. His career took he and Angela to North Dakota, Arizona, New Mexico, and California and they enjoyed seeing as many sights and cities as possible. His career also allowed him to serve on many interesting and note worthy projects, which also presented him with many notable awards, recognition's as well as holding membership in several professional societies. On December 16, 1990 they became parents to a son, John Wesley Beagles. In August 1991 they moved to the Chicago suburbs where they remained until moving to Dupont in 2011. Scott has many interest but especially enjoyed skiing. Other than his love and pride in his son, pride in his work, he loved all his dogs during the past 42 years. Scott had most recently worked with Pettit Contracting in Hanover and was currently working with Riverside Contracting. Although he and Angela divorced in 2015 they maintained an amicable relationship. Scott died suddenly on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at 4:30 a.m. in a car accident in Madison, Indiana.

A LOVING FAMILY Scott will be missed by his son who is serving in the United States Navy, AT1 John W. Beagles and his wife, Savannah of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his sister, Jane Blakely of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; his former wife of 40 years, Angela G. Bruner Beagles of Dupont, Indiana; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. R. W. and Kathryn Upton Beagles.

MEMORIAL CEREMONY Memorial services will be conducted Sunday, October 13, 2019, at 1:00 p.m., by Bob Greene at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.

VISITATION Friends may visit Sunday from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
