Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of Mr. Randall W. "Randy" Leap, Jr. With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Randall W. Leap, Jr. affectionately known as Randy, on August 25, 2025 at his home in Batesville, Indiana. Randy was born on August 17, 1980, in Madison, Indiana, the son of Randall W. Leap, Sr. and Lisa Kay Dahlem Leap. He grew up in Switzerland County, where he graduated high school in 1998. For a short period after high school, Randy attended Purdue University studying computer information. He was a dedicated worker, taking immense pride in his occupation as a laborer in the manufacturing sector. His most notable employments were at Arvin Sango in Madison after attending Purdue University, and later at Honda in Greensburg as a laborer and automation tech. Besides his dedication to work, he was a passionate Cincinnati Bengals football fan, but also enjoyed landscaping, fishing, and playing video games. He treasured the moments spent attending Bengals football games with his father, Randy, and his best friend, Josh Peelman. Growing up, he worked in tobacco with his father, played darts, and euchre at his grandparents' place. Randy was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 5396 in Vevay, Indiana, and the Sons of the American Legion. A LOVING FAMILY Randy will be missed by his loving parents, Randy Leap, Sr. and Lisa Kay Dahlem Leap of Vevay, Indiana; his sister, Heather Ann Leap (Tyler Ferrell) of Madison, Indiana; his nephew, Silas Gabriel James Woodruff; his niece, Sadie Grace Leap; his grandpa, Charles Robertson of Hanover, Indiana; his uncles, Charlie Robertson, David Robertson (Tami), Eric Leap and George "Marty" Thomas; his aunts, Gloria Leap and Barbara Leap; his best friend, Josh Peelman of Vevay, Indiana. Randy was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Joyce Ann Dahlem Robertson, who passed on July 6, 2012; his paternal grandfather, Leon Thomas "Jimmy" Leap, who passed on December 1, 1997; his paternal grandmother, Norma Lee Spencer Leap, who passed on August 26, 2012; his aunt, Sharon Thomas; his uncle, Bobby Leap.
