Paul E. "Woody" Wood

Let Us Pause to Honor the Memory of Mr. Paul E. "Woody" Wood Mr. Paul E. "Woody" Wood, age 73, of Hanover, Indiana, entered this life on May 9, 1935, in Carrollton, Kentucky, the son of Richard Sydney & Mary Elizabeth Smith Wood, both of whom preceded him in death. He was raised in Carrollton and was a 1955 graduate of Carroll County High School. He attended Eastern Kentucky University for two years. He was united in marriage on June 1, 1963 at the Hanover Baptist Church to Donna Owen. To this union arrived four daughters and a son to bless their home. He resided in Hanover since 1963 and was employed with Sedam Contracting and Kentuckiana Paving for over twenty years. He later worked for the Town of Hanover for nine years. He worked earlier in life for AS Construction in Frankfort, Indiana. He was a member of the Hod Carrier's Union in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was a lifetime member of the Chelsea Bass Masters and a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church in Madison. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage. Paul died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 3:40 am at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. A LOVING FAMILY Woody will be missed by his loving wife: Donna Owen Wood of Hanover, Indiana; his loving daughters: Tammy Gross & her husband: Doug of Hanover, Indiana; Paula Brown & her husband: Steve of Minot, North Dakota; Denise Boles & her husband: Fred of Lexington, Indiana; his loving son: Kevin Wood & his wife: Cristina of Hanover, Indiana; his grandchildren: Scott, Holly, Felicia, Abby, Stevie, Andrew, Sam, Aliza, Bridgett, Laura & Trevor; his great grandchildren: Charity, Trenton, Chloe, Conner & Keegan; several nieces, nephews & other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents: Richard Sydney & Mary Elizabeth Smith Wood; his daughter: Pamela Jean Wood died on November 2, 1965; his brother: Richard S. Wood and his sister: Dorothy Jean Howell. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 10:30 am, by Pastor Chuck Lynch and Pastor Steve Perry, at the First Assembly of God Church, 1636 Clifty Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens in Madison, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may call Friday, from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana and Saturday from 9:30 am until time of the service at the First Assembly of God Church, 1636 Clifty Drive in Madison, Indiana. MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS Memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia Society. Cards are available at the funeral home.
