Nida M. Lockridge Eppley

Let Us Pause to Honor the Memory of Mrs. Nida M. Lockridge Eppley Mrs. Nida M. Lockridge Eppley, age 76, of Seymour, Indiana formerly of Madison, Indiana entered this life on August 31, 1936 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late, Floyd and Marie Hummel Lockridge. She resided all of her life in Madison, moving to Seymour in the Fall of 2008 to be near her son. She was a graduate of Madison High School and a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Nida was united in marriage to Herschel W. "Epp" Eppley on August 20, 1955 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in downtown Madison, Nida and Epp enjoyed forty four years of marriage together until his death on July 21, 1999. Nida was employed with the Madison Bank and Trust Company in downtown Madison, first in public relations and then with the insurance department. After retiring from Madison Bank and Trust Company she worked with Joan Smith at Joan's Quilts and Crafts in downtown Madison. Nida was a member of the Madison Business and Professional Association and had served as treasurer and president. She enjoyed helping and organizing the Christmas Parade and helping with the Madison Regatta Parade as well. She was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 765. She enjoyed socializing, reading, sewing, flowers, gardening and her faithful Schnauzer, "Abby". Nida died Friday, May 24, 2013 at 6:30 a.m. at the Lutheran Community Home in Seymour, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILY Nida will be missed by her loving son: Bruce Eppley and his wife, Lisa of Seymour, Indiana; her loving daughter: Barbara Wolfe and her husband, Gary of Fithian, Illinois; her loving brother: Robert A. Lockridge of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren: Brett, Chelsea, Logan & Paige. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Marie C. Hummel Lockridge; her husband, Herschel W. "Epp" Eppley died, July 21, 1999; her brother, William E. Lockridge died, April 9, 2004. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana . Interment will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Madison, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 12 Noon until time of the service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. THE ROSARY The Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Cards are available at the funeral home.
