Michael Dale "Buck Wheat" Whitaker Obituary (1962

Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of Mr. Michael Dale "Buck Wheat" Whitaker Mr. Michael Dale "Buck Wheat" Whitaker, age 55, of Milton, Kentucky entered this life on December 19, 1962 in Madison, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Bobby Jo and Vonda Burdine Whitaker. He resided all of his life in Trimble County and was a 1981 graduate of Trimble County High School. He met his companion and future wife, Tammy Jane Sublett on October 13, 1990 and on March 19, 2009 they were united in marriage at the Trimble County Courthouse. He had worked as a carpenter for 35 years and enjoyed socializing, hunting, fishing and his dogs. He had fought a long battle with cancer and was lovingly cared for by his wife and son. Michael died on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at 8:50 a.m. at his home in Milton, Kentucky. Newby and his wife, Megan of Madison, Indiana, Collin Michael Whitaker of Milton, Kentucky; his grandson, Abram; his brother, David Whitaker and his wife, Lori of Milton, Kentucky; his mother in law, Minnie Sublett of Louisville, Kentucky; his brother in law, Ted Sublett of Louisville, Kentucky; his sister in law, Treva James and her husband, Randy of Sellersburg, Indiana; his uncles, Chuck Burdine, Hoppy Whitaker and Buster Whitaker; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Jo and Vonda Burdine Whitaker. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., by Reverend Orville Mann and Tammy Whitaker at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may visit Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
