Mike Gross

Mr. Michael Allen Gross, affectionately known as Mike or "Motorcycle Mike", born on June 24, 1956 in Greenfield, Indiana, passed away on September 27, 2026 in Louisville, Kentucky. Mike was the beloved son of the late Ronald and Lavon "Bonnie" Conley Gross of Greenfield, Indiana where he grew up and attended Eastern Hancock High School. On August 10, 1974, in Tennessee, Mike married the love of his life, Lucinda "Cindy" Lovell. Their union was blessed with a daughter, Brandy Ann, and two sons, Michael Jr. and Nicholas Scott. The couple moved to the North Vernon community 27 years ago, where they made their home. Mike will always be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, loving papa, and passionate motorcycle enthusiast. He built a successful career as a general contractor, owning Lucinda's Restorations, where he worked on numerous local projects including Subway Restaurants, Trilogy Health Care Centers, several local banking establishments, and private residences. He took immense pride in his building capabilities and was well-respected in the construction industry. Even with his busy schedule, Mike always made time for his favorite pastimes, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He also cherished moments spent with his family and his beloved dog, Annabelle.

Mike will be missed by his loving wife of 52 years Lucinda "Cindy" Gross of North Vernon, Indiana; his daughter Brandy Ann Decker (Chris) of Seymour, Indiana; his sons Michael Gross, Jr. of Hanover, Indiana and Nicholas Scott Gross (Chrissa) of Leesville, Louisiana; his grandchildren Hayden Michael (Abbie), Ruby Michelle, Harlem, Lonnie Michael (Haley) and Lillian Hyde (Damien); his great-grandchildren Emery and Leland; his brother Tom Gross (Diana) of Spiceland, Indiana; his other relatives. He is preceded in death by his father Ronald Gross; his mother Lavon "Bonnie" Conley Gross.

The visitation is set for Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, located at 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, Indiana, 47250. The funeral service will follow at the same location at 3:00 p.m.
