Mary Ann Ison "Trixie" Miller Obituary (1940

Mrs. Mary Ann "Trixie" Ison Miller, age 81, of Dupont, Indiana entered this life on October 5, 1940 in Van, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of William and Dora Bell Tyree Ison. She was united in marriage to Henry Miller on February 1, 1956 in Whitesburg, Kentucky. This happy union of 45 years was blessed with daughters, Deborah, Jeannette, Glendora, Sharon and a son, Charles Henry. Her husband Henry affectionately nick-named her "Trixie". She grew up in Kentucky before moving to Ohio after getting married. After several years in Ohio, they moved to Dupont in 1971 where she resided the rest of her life. She worked as a housekeeper for several years for a prominent family in Ohio before moving to Indiana. Mary Ann retired from Grote Industries in 2001 with 31 years of service. She was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, quilting, crocheting and making jewelry. She also loved caring for her flower gardens and in her younger years camping with her husband. She was a devoted wife, loving mom and grandma. Mary Ann died on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 5:20 p.m. at the Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour, Indiana. Please Click Here to View the Video Tribute Please Click Here to View the Funeral Service Recording A LOVING FAMILY Mary Ann will be missed by her loving daughters, Deborah Andrews and her husband, Bill of Madison, Indiana, Jeannette Bellamy and her husband, Bill of Madison, Indiana, Glendora Buchanan and her husband, Leroy, Sr. of Dupont, Indiana, Sharon Lynn Miller and her companion, Scott Surface of Brownstown, Indiana; her loving son, Charles Henry Miller of Dupont, Indiana; her grandchildren, Jennifer Andrews (companion, Al Liter), Bill Andrews, Jr. (Angelea), Eric Hay, Allen "Randy" Hay (Jennifer), Aja Bridgewater (Jason), Leroy Buchanan, Jr. (Allie), Elizabeth Buchanan, Samantha Buchanan Church (Matthew), Jonathon Miller, Karen Miller, Olivia Miller; her great grandchildren, Kyle, Hunter, Grace, Carter, Brooke, Emerson, Ellis, Millie, Wesson, Lilly, Rayne, Bronson, and Atticus; her great great grandchildren, Zoie and Brock; her brother, Eugene Ison of Greensburg; her sisters, Patty Sharp of Charlestown, Indiana, June Kiser of Dupont, Indiana, Joan Reed of Whitesburg, Kentucky and Towanna Jones of Whitesburg, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, William Ison, her mother, Dora Bell Tyree Ison, her husband of 45 years, Henry Miller, died March 25, 2001, her sisters, Maxine Bowen and Willa Marie Evans, and her brothers, Clyde Ison and Rex Ison. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. by Pastor J.D. Traylor at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana.
