Mary Lottie Coffin Crafton Obituary (1927

Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of Mrs. Mary Lottie Coffin Crafton Mrs. Mary Lottie Coffin Crafton, age 90, of Milton, Kentucky entered this life on December 1, 1927 in Trimble County. She was the loving daughter of the late James I. and Della M. Hammons Coffin. A lifelong resident of Milton, Kentucky, she was a 1945 graduate of Milton High School. She first worked as a school teacher for two years, teaching Grades 1-8 at the old Norfork School on Corn Creek in Trimble County, Kentucky. She later worked at the old shoe factory for five years, and for Conn Organ Company for 30 years, retiring in 1977. She was united in marriage on April 11, 1950 to Wilbur Wayne Crafton and to this union of 68 years came one son, and two daughters to bless their home. Mary enjoyed quilting, knitting, reading, cooking and caring for her grandsons. She was raised in the Norfork Holiness Church on Corn Creek and was also a member of the Trimble Thimbles Quilting Club. Mary died on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at 1:15 a.m. at Signature Health Care of Trimble County in Bedford, Kentucky. Click Here for Tribute or Funeral Service VideoA LOVING FAMILY Mary will be missed by her loving husband of 68 years, Wayne Crafton of Milton, Kentucky; her loving daughters, June Laughlin and her husband Bob of Madison, Indiana and Lisa Shrader and her husband, Mark of Milton, Kentucky; her beloved grandsons, Joshua Laughlin of Louisville, Kentucky, Zachary Laughlin and his wife, Lindsey of Madison, Indiana, and Jesse Shrader of Milton, Kentucky; her loving great granddaughter, Mary Jane Laughlin; her loving brother, Darrell Coffin and his wife Shirley of Milton, Kentucky; her loving sisters, Charlotte Liter and her husband Delbert of Madison, Indiana, Fredia Romans and her husband Junior of Milton, Kentucky, and Janice Field and her husband Don of Madison, Indiana; her brother in law, Payne Crafton of Trimble County, Kentucky; her sister in law, Barbara Gosman of Trimble County, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, James I. and Della M. Hammons Coffin, and her son, Jimmy Crafton died May 23, 1976. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., by Chaplain Dennis Romans at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Moffett Cemetery in Milton, Kentucky. VISITATION Friends may visit Friday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m.. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
