Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of Mr. Mark Burkhead

Mr. Mark Burkhead, age 55, of Hanover, Indiana entered this life on December 1, 1964 in Madison, Indiana, the son of Phyllis Stucker Carter. In 1983, Mark graduated from Southwestern High School where he was member of the baseball team. Mark began a career as a respiratory therapist at King's Daughters' Hospital for eleven years. He later worked six years in the assembly department at Arvin Sango and then worked in agriculture on several area farms. A 2016 automobile accident left Mark paralyzed and permanently disabled. At an early age, he learned how to compete in stock car racing, which became a beloved, lifelong hobby. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. Mark died on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. at the Hanover Health & Rehab Center in Hanover, Indiana.

A LOVING FAMILY Mark will be missed by his loving brothers, Donnie Law of Hanover, Indiana, and Delbert Taylor and his wife, April of Deputy, Indiana; his loving sisters, Autumn Hoover and her husband, Mike of Commiskey, Indiana, and Twila Thompson of Madison, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Stucker Carter, his adoptive parents, Clarence and Evelyn Burkhead, his brothers, Rickey Carroll Taylor and Bart Matthew Law.
