Mr. Manuel Gene Voris

Mr. Manuel Gene Voris, age 69, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on July 14, 1947 in Madison, Indiana. He was the loving son of James Penn Sr. and Evelyn Humphrey Voris both of whom preceded him in death. He was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County. He was first married to Linda Strasemier and was blessed with a daughter and two sons. He was united in marriage to Wilma Jean Ludwig Young on December 28, 1984 in Madison, Indiana. He worked in shipping and receiving at Madison Chemical for twenty-one years. He also had worked on farms in the area. He attended North Madison Baptist Church, was in the local CB Club, enjoyed playing music, and especially Elvis. Manuel died on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at 2:21 p.m. at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

A LOVING FAMILY
Manuel will be missed by his loving daughter, Lori Ann Voris Everhart and her husband, Tony of Hanover, Indiana; his loving sons, Kevin Voris and his wife, Nancy of Madison, Indiana, Jeremy Voris and his wife Jeannine of Hebron, Kentucky; his step daughter, Tammy Buchanan and her husband, Chris of Canaan, Indiana; his grandchildren, Mary, Charles Joseph "C.J.", Sylvia, Garrett, Dustin, Etana, Aarilyn, Allie, Maraya, Sarah, Donnie, Bobby, Brittney and Cassy; his great grandchildren, Emma Jean, Addalyn, Hunter and Briar; his loving sister, Jane Turner and her husband Tom of Madison, Indiana; his loving brothers, Ray Voris and his wife Ramona of Madison, Indiana, Bill Voris and his wife Chasity of Hanover, Indiana; his sister-in-law, Lillian Voris of Madison, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Penn, Sr., and Evelyn Humphrey Voris,his brothers, James P. Voris, Jr., died October 10, 2015, Timothy Voris, died March 17, 2015, Charles Voris, died August 22, 1991, and his wife of 28 years, Wilma Jean Ludwig Young Voris, died July 24, 2012.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at 10:30 a.m., by Pastor Frank McGee at the North Madison Baptist Church, 1906 Orchard Street in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, 9306 North US 421 in Madison, Indiana.

VISITATION
Friends may call Monday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive Madison, Indiana and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service North Madison Baptist Church, 1906 Orchard Street in Madison, Indiana.
