Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of Mrs. Letha Wehner Ebley Long Mrs. Letha Wehner Ebley Long, age 90, of Lexington, Indiana formerly of Madison entered this life on March 5, 1928 in Jefferson County, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Charles Henry and Letha Louise Kessler Wehner. She was a 1946 graduate of North Madison High School. She was first united in marriage to Junior Ebley in 1951 and this happy union was blessed with three sons, Justin, Jeffrey and Jerry. Junior died at the age of 46 on June 8, 1972. She later married Irvin M. Long on March 21, 1988 in Robertson County, Tennessee and enjoyed several years together before his death on July 21, 2011. She worked at the Kroger Company for twenty-seven years as a cashier and retired. Letha also worked in the cafeteria at Southwestern Elementary School from 1972-1986. She was a member of the Wirt Baptist Church and enjoyed socializing, never met a stranger, loved people, camping and traveling. She lived most of her life in Jefferson County and loved spending time with her family. Letha died on Monday, March 5, 2018, at 5:15 p.m. at the Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover, Indiana. Click Here for Tribute or Funeral Service VideoA LOVING FAMILY Letha will be missed by her loving sons, Justin Ebley and his wife Vivian of Milton, Kentucky, Jeffrey Ebley and his wife Teresa of Hanover, Indiana, Jerry Ebley and his wife Laura of Lexington, Indiana; her grandchildren, Jacob Ebley (Martha), Catherine Ford (Chad), Cassandra Sachleben (Andy), Chelsea Ebley (Cory Burch), and Kendall Ebley; her great grandchildren, Lyla Ford and Johnny Sachleben; her step grandchild, Brandi Yocum (Jeramie); her step great grandchild, Braylin Meierle; her brother, Harlen Wehner and his wife Polly of Madison, Indiana; her sister, Phyllis Smith of Hanover, Indiana; her sister in law, Ruby Wehner of Lexington, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Henry Wehner, died, March 21, 1971, her mother, Letha Louise Kessler Wehner, died, August 2, 1983, her brothers, Ernest O., died, Sept. 25, 1978, Charles Robert, died, Dec. 20, 1996, Raymond G., died, October 3, 1997, Leo O., died, March 18, 2007, and Gerald H. Wehner, died, December 25, 2016, her sisters, Helen L. Ritchie, died, Dec. 16, 2013, Imogene Cline, died, October 16, 2016 and Aneta C. Furnish, died, January 14, 2017, her first husband, Junior Dale Ebley, died, June 8, 1972, her second husband, Irvin M. Long, died, July 21, 2011. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 9, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Troy Hedges at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the New Prospect Cemetery near Hanover, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 12 Noon until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS Memorial contributions may be made to the Wirt Baptist Church or the New Prospect Cemetery.
