Mr. Leonard Gurnsey Craigmyle

Mr. Leonard Gurnsey Craigmyle, age 91, of Madison, Indiana entered this October 23, 1925 in Madison, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Gurnsey Leonard and Hazel Dalton Craigmyle. He attended the Kent School and resided all of his life in Jefferson County. On March 15, 1948 he was united in marriage to Rebecca Alene Wilson in Jeffersonville, Indiana. This happy union of 68 years was blessed with sons, William and Kenneth and daughters, Marjorie and Kathy. Leonard believed hard work never hurt anybody and was not a man of patience. He farmed all of his life raising beef cattle, acres of tobacco, beans and corn. He always raised a big garden and shared it with family, neighbors and friends. Leonard worked for many years with Morrow and Maddox Tobacco Warehouses in Madison as a grader and solicitor. He had served on the Jefferson County Advisory Board for several years. Leonard died on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at 8:10 p.m. at his home near Madison, Indiana.

LOVING FAMILY
Leonard will be missed by his loving sons, William Craigmyle and his wife, Mary of Madison, Indiana, Kenneth Craigmyle of Madison, Indiana; his loving daughters, Marjorie Craigmyle of Madison, Indiana, Kathy Hacker and her husband, Bobby of Madison, Indiana; his grandchildren, John Craigmyle, Tammy Gray, Karen McMahan, Sarah Kendall, Katie Gault, April Leach, Billie Jo Branham and Stephanie Branham; 15 great grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren; his sister, Bessie Handlon of Connersville, Indiana; his sisters in law and brothers in law, Sheila C. Curl, Bernadene Robarge, John Wilson and Lettie B. Wilson; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Gurnsey Leonard Craigmyle, his mother, Hazel Dalton Craigmyle, his beloved wife of 68 years, Rebecca Alene Wilson Craigmyle, died April 25, 2015, his granddaughter, Amanda Alene Vest died July 23, 2013 and her husband, Jason October 4, 2015, his sisters, Mable Coker, died October 6, 1996; Lydia Miller died Ocobter 19, 1996; and Edana Mae Mitchum died June 14, 2003 and an infant unnamed sister, and unnamed infant brother.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 10, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor K.C. Banta at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, 9306 North US 421 near Madison, Indiana.

VISITATION
Friends may call Friday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
