Lendon G. Flanagan, Sr. Obituary (1932

Mr. Lendon G. Flanagan, Sr., age 90, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on June 15, 1932 in Jamestown, Kentucky. He was the loving son of the late Arlus and Ruby Stevens Flanagan. He was raised and schooled in Russell County, Kentucky. He left Russell County at age twenty and began his career as a construction worker. He worked as a union millwright out of Louisville, Kentucky all of his adult life. He was united in marriage to Anna Frances Abbott in 1955 and was blessed with a son, Lendon, Jr. and a daughter, Vickie Lynn. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed the outdoors and really loved hunting rabbits with his Beagle dogs. Lendon died on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 10:44 p.m. at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILY Lendon will be missed by his loving son, Lendon G. Flanagan, Jr. of Madison, Indiana; his loving daughter, Vickie Lynn Pineda and her husband Ken of Madison, Indiana; his sister, Ella Knight and her husband Merril of Jamestown, Kentucky; his brother in law, Terry Abbott and his wife Vickie of Hanover, Indiana; his sister in laws, Hazel Stamper of Madison, Indiana, Lois Bolton Day of Madison, Indiana, Brenda Beverly and her husband Jerry of Bedford, Kentucky; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Arlus Flanagan, his mother, Ruby Stevens Flanagan, his former wife, Anna Frances Abbott Flanagan, died April 5, 2014. LENDON'S WISHESLendon chose direct cremation with his ashes to be placed in the Flanagan Family Cemetery in Russell County, Kentucky.
