Mrs. Leah Agnes George Young

Mrs. Leah Agnes George Young, age 89, of Underwood, Indiana formerly of Bedford, Kentucky and Madison, Indiana entered this life on April 19, 1928 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Charles Russell, Sr. and Vallie Gordon George. She was raised in Madison and was a 1946 graduate of Madison High School. On July 13, 1952 Leah was united in marriage to Norman Dee Young at the Wirt Baptist Church near Madison. This happy union of 28 years was blessed with daughters, Joan, Barbara and Cheryl and sons, James and David. After her marriage she would reside in the Bedford, Kentucky community until moving to Underwood to be near her daughter. Leah was a homemaker, raised a garden and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her greatest enjoyment was her grandchildren. She was a member of the Calvary Wesleyan Church. Leah died on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at 11:30 p.m. at the Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana.

A LOVING FAMILY
Leah will be missed by her loving daughters, Joan Williams and her husband, Bill of Underwood, Indiana, Barbara Reed and her husband, Charles David of Milton, Kentucky, Cheryl Webster and her husband, Eddie of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; her loving sons, James Young and his wife, Shirley of Bedford, Kentucky, David Young and his wife, Marsha of Madison, Indiana; her loving grandchildren, Shannon Cole (Jason), Erin Webster, Melissa Young, Jordan Young (Susan), Jenny Truesdell (Philip), Tyler Reed, Ashley Shepherd (Clint) and Kyle Young (Haley); her adoring great grandchildren, Adysen Armand, Payton & Carter Shepherd, Chloe & Landon Cole, Brently, Cuyler & Owentyn Truesdell; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Russell George, Sr., her mother, Vallie Gordon George, her infant sister, Ruth Alice George, her beloved husband of 28 years, Norman Dee Young, died December 3, 1980, her brothers, Charles Russell George, II and Fred George.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 25, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., by Pastor Phil Lamaster, at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Milton, Kentucky

VISITATION
Friends may visit Friday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
