Larry Gene Wood, Jr.

Mr. Larry "Gene" Wood, Jr., age 37, of Milton, Kentucky and formerly of Hanover, Indiana entered this life on September 5, 1970 in Madison, Indiana the son of Larry G. Wood, Sr. & Agnes Smith Geisler. He resided most all of his life in Jefferson County and was a 1988 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. He had attended Ivy Tech for engineering. He had been baptized and was of the Baptist Faith. He was employed for the past six years with Armor Metal Group in Madison as a tool & die machinist. He had formerly worked for Madison Tool & Die and Clifty Engineering in Madison for several years. He was a member of the Madison Moose Lodge #765. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, playing Texas Hold'em, collecting John Deere and telling jokes. Larry died Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 12:45 am at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

A LOVING FAMILY
Gene will be missed by his parents: Bobby & Agnes Smith Geisler of Milton, Kentucky; his sisters: Shannon Mefford & her husband: Gary of Dupont, Indiana and Melissa Geisler of Milton, Kentucky; his maternal grandmother: Myrtle Smith of Madison, Indiana; his nieces: Dana & Miranda Mefford; several aunts, uncles, cousins & other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father: Larry G. Wood, Sr. who died in 1973; his brother: Shawn Eric Wood who died in 1972; his maternal grandpa: Morgan Smith who died in 1987; his paternal grandparents: Stewart & Edith Wood; his paternal grandparents: Alva & Faye Geisler.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 1:00 pm, by Dan Corbin at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in, Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on Hall's Ridge near Canaan, Indiana.

VISITATION
Friends may call Monday from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:00 am until time of the service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
