KaTryina Louise McCormick

KaTryina Louise McCormick, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and devoted friend, passed away on October 9, 2026, at the age of 45.

She will be remembered for her strength, determination, and remarkable ability to keep moving forward, no matter what life brought her way. KaTryina lived life on her own terms, with courage, independence, and a spirit that could not easily be discouraged.

Family was at the center of her heart. She treasured her children, grandchildren, siblings, loved ones, and she held a special place in her heart for all animals.

KaTryina found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially thrift shopping and quiet mornings with her coffee. These small rituals reflected the warmth, personality, and individuality that made her so unforgettable.

She is survived by her son, Jordan (Abigail) McCormick; her daughter, Hannah (Otis) Bishop; her grandchildren, Prophett and Amara; her sister, Amy (Larry) Shuler; her brothers, Brady (Veronica) Chitwood; Brett (Cortney) Chitwood; Brynen (Jessica) Chitwood and many other loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Penny Odell (Richey) North; her father, Jack Allen Chitwood; and her sister, Billie Pace Coates.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her. Though she is deeply missed, the strength, love, and determination she carried will continue through her family for generations to come.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday October 14th 2pm-7pm at Collins Family Center. Friends and family are invited to come together to honor KaTryina’s life and share memories of the love, laughter, and strength she brought to those around her.
