"Jerry" Everett Gerald O'Neal Obituary (1941

Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of Mr. Everett Gerald "Jerry" O'Neal Mr. Everett Gerald "Jerry" O'Neal, age 79, of Deputy, Indiana entered this life on July 25, 1941 in English, Kentucky. He was the loving son of the late George Lewis and Mable Meadows O'Neal. He was raised in Carroll County and attended school there. In his early years he was a life guard at Lake Butler in Carroll County. On September 8, 1962, he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Smith at the English Baptist Church. This union was blessed with three daughters, Penny Ann, Christy and Robby. They moved to Jefferson County in 1968 and he worked for Conn Organ Company for 17 years. Jerry then worked for three years at Anaconda and retired after 11 years at Sunoco Products in North Vernon. He attended the Lick Branch Baptist Church near Deputy, Indiana. Jerry loved tending to his farm, going to the gambling boat, playing golf, swimming, horse racing, coon hunting, canoeing, hunting, and being with his family. Jerry died on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at 3:53 a.m. at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. O'Neal of Jeffersonville, Indiana; his grandchildren, Nicole Bruther (Jarrod) and Roger Nicholson; his step granddaughter, Brooke Wood and her husband, Aaron; his great grandchild, Grayson Bruther; his step great grandchildren, Xavier Wood and Caleb Wood; his brothers, George O'Neal of Dwight, Illinois, Lonnie Joe O'Neal and his wife, Mary Helen of Carrollton, Kentucky, Stoney Gene O'Neal and his wife, Carolyn of Carrollton, Kentucky; his brothers in law and sisters in laws, John Walls of Carrollton, Kentucky, Michael Cutshaw of Carrollton, Kentucky, Floyd Smith and his wife, Patsy of English, Kentucky, Lucquia Robinson and her husband, Dan of English, Kentucky, J.D. Smith and his wife, Juanita of Carrollton, Kentucky, Al Smith and his wife, Joan of Carrollton, Kentucky, Melvin Abbott of Verona, Kentucky, Owen Smith and his wife, Bonnie of Bedford, Kentucky, Alicia Reisner and her husband, Dan of English, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, George Lewis O'Neal, his mother, Mable Meadows O'Neal Carter, his sisters, Betty Pearl Walls and Peggy Jane Cutshall, and his sisters in law, Laverne Abbott and Terry O'Neal. CELEBRATION OF LIFEFriends may visit Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Madison Moose Lodge No. 765, 1340 Michigan Road in Madison, Indiana.
