James Donald "Jim" Zapp, Jr. Obituary (1954

Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of Mr. James Donald Zapp, Jr. Mr. James Donald Zapp, Jr., age 60, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on June 24, 1954 in Madison, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late, Jamed D. Sr. and Doris May Gilland Zapp. He was raised in Madison and was a 1973 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. Jim had worked as a gardener for Dr. Snodgrass for several years and at Jefferson County Archery. He was a member of the Madison Moose Lodge No. 765 and the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and playing cards. Jim died on Friday, June 19, 2015, at 6:17 a.m. at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILY Jim will be missed by his loving sister, Deanna S. "Dee Dee" Hertz and her husband, Joe of Madison, Indiana; his loving brothers, John M. Zapp and his wife, Linda of Madison, Indiana, Robert G. "Bob" Zapp and his wife, Laurie of Madison, Indiana; his aunts, Audrey Hertz and Marge Harmon; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, James Donald Zapp, Sr. died May 11, 1987, his mother, Doris May Gilland Zapp, died Sept. 20, 2011, his sister, Betty Jo Roberts, died August 15, 2004, his brother in law, Steven E. Roberts, Sr. died September 6, 2004, his sister in law, Cathy Jo Zapp, died March 26, 2000. PRIVATE SERVICE Private services will be held by the family at Jim's request. Interment the St. Patrick Cemetery in Madison, Indiana MEMORIAL EXPRESSIONS Memorial contributions may be made to the Jim Zapp Memorial Fund. Cards are available at the funeral home.
