Jim Pelsor

Mr. James Robert "Jim" Pelsor, born on October 15, 1949, in Madison, Indiana, spent his entire life in Jefferson County, Indiana, where he was born to the late Harold Everett Pelsor and Ella Jane Matthews Pelsor. He grew up with two brothers, Richard and Carroll, and two sisters, Marjorie and Jean. Jim was a dedicated farm laborer, serving many area farmers in the Jefferson County area. Throughout his life, Jim took pleasure in simple hobbies, like word searches, watching TV, and socializing with his neighbors. He also attended Smyrna-Monroe Presbyterian Church as a child. Jim passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 7:42 a.m., at Aperion Care in Hanover, Indiana.

Jim is survived by his brother, Richard Pelsor (Natalie) of Madison, Indiana; his sister Jean Monroe (Jim) of Madison, Indiana; his several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Everett Pelson and Ella Jane Mattews Pelsor; his brother Carroll Pelsor; his sister Marjorie Sloan and her husband Tom.

A graveside service will take place in the Dupont Cemetery at a later date to be announced.
