James Howard "Jimmy" Masters, Jr. Obituary (1942

Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of Mr. James Howard "Jimmy" Masters, Jr. Mr. James Howard "Jimmy" Masters, Jr., age 72, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on December 21, 1942 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was the son of the late, James, Sr. and Dorothy Lynn Bellers Masters. He was raised in Ypsilanti and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1961. He attended Eastern Michigan University and received a degree in accounting. He was inducted into the United States Army serving during Vietnam for three years and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant First Class. On January 22, 1962 he was united in marriage to Phyllis Kay Daugherty in Ypsilanti, Michigan. This union was blessed with a daughter, Holli. He was later married in 1968 was to Sharon Ossenheimer and this union was blessed with two daughters, Tammy and Jennifer and a son, Brian. He was employed with Ford Motor Company in Ypsilanti in the Tool and Die Department retiring after 30 years of service. On April 19, 1998, he was reunited in marriage to Phyllis and they shared the rest of his life together. Jimmy enjoyed photography and after they retired to Spring Hills, Florida he was published in a magazine with his photography club and the picture was called "Sunset in Florida." After three years of retirement in Florida they moved to Owensboro, Kentucky. Jimmy had battled a 25 year battle with Parkinson's Disease and had resided in Madison the past two years. James died on Monday, August 24, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. at the Water's of Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILY James will be missed by his loving wife, Phyllis Kay Daugherty Masters of Owensboro, Kentucky; his loving daughters, Holli Lynn Masters Turner of Owensboro, Kentucky, Tammy Masters Letourneau and her husband, Fred of Allen Park, Michigan, Jennifer Masters Mascia of Allen Park, Michigan; his sister, Betty Masters of Lima, Ohio; his grandchildren, Dusty, Adrienne, Scott, Erin, Anthony; his great grandchildren, Boyd, Delinia "Sassy", Braden, Navaeh, Nathaniel, Keyan and Olivia; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, James, Sr. and Dorothy Lynn Bellers Masters, his son, Brian Masters, died 2010, his great grandson, Brandon Frames, died in 2011, and his second wife, Sharon Ossenheimer Masters, died, 2000.
