Ina Mae "Gaga" Wicker Robinson Obituary (1918

Ina Mae "Ga-ga" (Wicker) Robinson, 87, of Vevay, passed away suddenly Friday, July 1st, at King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison.She was born April 24th, 1918, in Mousie, Kentucky, in Knott County, the daughter of John Bud and Louisa (Fugate) Wicker. She was a 1936 graduate of Lackey High School and a 1938 graduate of Pikeville College with her teaching certificate. She taught school in Lackey, Kentucky for four years. She was united in marriage on February 22nd, 1942, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, to Frank E. Robinson. Unto this union a daughter and two sons arrived to bless their home. They resided in the Lamb community the past 56 years on their farm near the Ohio River. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her church work, working in the garden and on her lawn. She helped her husband with his Gospel Tract Ministry. She was a devoted member of the Hilltop Baptist Church in Madison, devoting much time to teaching Sunday School, working in the nursery and in the church wherever needed. Survivors include her husband, Frank E. Robinson of Lamb; her daughter, Joy Ann Stutsman and husband Earl of Indianapolis; her sons, Robert J. Robinson, M.D. and wife Gail of Greenwood, and Cliff Robinson and wife Anna Belle of Madison; her sister, Nora Lee Salmons of Hazard, Kentucky; her brother, Jack Wicker of Lexington, Kentucky; and her grandchildren, Jennifer and Ed Booker, Janelle and Jon Young, Rod E. Robinson, M.D. and wife Aimee, Sheila Detherage, Wendy Ferguson, Heidi Robinson, Kristen and Jason Butler and Carrie Robinson; her great-grandchildren, Stacy, Stephen, Lauren, Lance, Zach, Vanessa, Madison, Eric, Logan, Travis, Cassidy and Blake; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Bud and Louisa (Fugate) Wicker; her grandson-in-law, Jimmy Detherage; her sisters, Nina Maggard, Norice Johnson, Rosie Wicker, and Jessica Wicker; and her brothers, Ballard Wicker, Kell Wicker, Monroe Wicker and Mitchell Wicker. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, July 6th, by Pastor Richard McDole at Morgan-Webster-Nay Funeral Home in Madison. Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery in Madison.
