Hubert Wayne Durham, Sr. Obituary (1951

Mr. Hubert Wayne Durham, age 59, of Lexington, Indiana, entered this life on August 7, 1951 in Brookside, Kentucky. He was the son of the late, James Franklin & Valla Collett Ellison. He was raised in Brookside and moved at the age of nine with his family to Middletown, Ohio. He was united in marriage on November 5, 1969 to April Lee South and to this union came two daughters and one son to bless their home. He and April resided in Middletown for several years, owning and operating, Durham's Garage. The family made their home in Lexington, Indiana in 1981. Wayne began working in the electrical business in 1983 and founded Durham's Electrical in 1994 which he operated with his son, Little Wayne. He enjoyed working outside in his yard and tinkering on automobiles with Little Wayne. He loved spending his time with his beloved grandchildren and he loved traveling to Florida with his family, especially Daytona Beach.He leaves many wonderful memories for his family to cherish. Wayne died Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 4:00 a.m. at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. A LOVING FAMILY Wayne will be missed by his loving wife: April Lee South Durham of Lexington, Indiana; his loving daughters: Laura Elaine Watson and her husband, Charles of Deputy, Indiana and Tammy Lee Durham of Pennsylvania; his loving son and business partner: Hubert Wayne Durham, Jr. and his wife, Connie of Lexington, Indiana; his loving and devoted grandchildren: Dakota James Schafer, Kole Allen Morris, McKenzie Laine Morris, Brittany Nicole Durham; his cherished great grandson: Cade Samuel Vest; his loving aunt: Elvia Wyatt of West Virginia; several brothers and sisters in-law, several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: James Franklin & Valla Collett Ellison. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., by Reverend Scott Elston at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may call Saturday 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre.
