Hagen Carter Frieske Obituary (2002

Hagen Carter Frieske, age 18, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on October 8, 2002 in Louisville, Kentucky at the Baptist East Hospital. He was the loving son of Dr. David A. Frieske and April R. Phelps Frieske. He resided his entire life in Madison and was a 2021 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. He had just received his Associate of Science degree in accounting from Ivy Tech. Hagen was currently planning to further his education with a major in marketing at the Gordon Ford College of Business at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. At Madison Consolidated High School he excelled and graduated Summa Cum Laude with academic honors, technical honors, and technical certificate. He also had served on the Quiz Bowl team. Hagen was a sports enthusiast and avid fan of the University of Michigan sports. Hagen was an avid reader always furthering his knowledge. In his Junior High School years, he played soccer and ran cross country. Hagen possessed talents in looking at something and could immediately build it with Lego's or anything that he imagined earning him the nicknames "Puzzle Master" and "Lego Master." He had most recently worked as a sales associate with the Madison Wal-Mart. He had a great love of eclectic music. Hagen enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and outside of the U.S. with his family and friends. He happily had repeat trips to favorite places such as Disney World; Gatlinburg, Tennessee; and Destin, Florida. Hagen will be remembered as a loving son, brother and grandson. He was raised in the First Baptist Church in downtown Madison. Hagen died on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at his home in downtown Madison, Indiana. Phelps Frieske and her companion, John Hall of Madison, Indiana; his loving sister, Julette Danae Frieske of Madison, Indiana; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Linda Evans of Louisville, Kentucky, Bruce Phelps of Russell Springs, Kentucky; his paternal grandparents, Dr. David A. and Marilyn Frieske of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee; his uncles and aunts, David and Catherine Shippert of Crossville, Tennessee, Joseph P. and Karen Moore of Henderson, Nevada; his cousin, Dr. Kirsten Shippert and her husband, Dan Brown; his great uncles and great aunts, Randy and Vivian Robertson of Bardstown, Kentucky, Dr. Ronald and Judy Stephens of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Darlene Stephens of Russell Springs, Kentucky; and other relatives. Hagen's final resting place will be at the Bethlehem Cemetery in Russell Springs, Kentucky, near his maternal great grandparents, E.R. "Dick" and Ada Stephens, of Russell Springs, Kentucky. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 15, 2021, at 3:00 p.m., by Rev. Randy Crutchfield at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Graveside service will be conducted on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. (1:00 p.m. Russell County time) at the Bethlehem Cemetery in Russell Springs, Kentucky.
