Frank Lamar Pearson, Jr. Obituary (1952

Mr. Frank Lamar Pearson, Jr., age 72 of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on July 10, 1952 in Madison, Indiana. He was the loving son of the late Frank Lamar Pearson, Sr. and Dorothy "Dottie" Montgomery Pearson Callis. Raised in Madison, Frank graduated in 1970 from Madison Consolidated High School and attended Ivy Tech Community College for additional training. He served in the United States Navy for six months before being honorably discharged, and then was transferred to the Reserves and was discharged after six years of service. Frank worked for many years as a self-employed musician. He played in the bands of Fox Fire, Brass Tacks, Wild Horses, The Frank Pearson Band, Cross Country and later in the Praise and Worship Band of River Valley Church. He worked with Grote Industries for 12 years in production control supervision. He retired from Madison Precision after 18 years of service as supervisor over the die cast department. He was raised in the Madison Presbyterian Church and was now a member of the New Life Fellowship Church in Madison. He owned and operated with his wife the auction barn at Broomsage Horse and Tack. He loved horses, music, songwriting and animals, plus playing the guitar and being on his golf cart. Frank died on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 4:23 a.m. at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Please Click Here to View the Video Tribute Please Click Here to View the Funeral Service Recording A LOVING FAMILY Frank will be missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Cate Ann Culp Pearson of Madison, Indiana; his daughters, Kristen Pearson Cantu and her husband, Larry of Columbus, Indiana, Jessi Pearson of Largo, Florida; his grandchildren, Kamryn Cantu and Savannah Morris; his sisters in law and brothers in laws, Joy Culp of Madison, Indiana, Connie Tatman of Madison, Indiana, Carrie Fullenkamp and her husband, Brent of Madison, Indiana, Christy Kollmann and her husband, Scott of Madison, Indiana, Wydalis Culp of Madison, Indiana, Dennis Joe Stephens of Lexington, Indiana; his aunt, Anna Mae Whitton of Madison, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Lamar Pearson, Sr., died November 21, 1969, his mother, Dorothy "Dottie" Montgomery Pearson Callis, died August 6, 2011, his step father, Dixie V. Callis, died May 20, 2009, his son, Shane Pearson, died November 6, 1996, his grandparents, Bayard Preston and Ruth Pearson and Hubert and Doris Reed Montgomery, his brother in law and sister in law, Pastor Billy J. Culp, died February 26, 2024 and Karen Culp Stephens, died October 31, 2024. CELEBRATION OF LIFE CEREMONY Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., by Pastor Scott Kollmann at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery,1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may visit Saturday from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. MILITARY HONORSA final salute with military honors will be provided by the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion.
