Frances Colene Waldrop Green

Mrs. Frances Colene Waldrop Green, passed away on October 11, 2026 in Madison, Indiana. Born on April 18, 1946, in Brookhaven, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Harold M. "Red" Waldrop and Colene Mary Money Waldrop. Her life was marked by her dedication to her work and her family. She was the manager of Kmart in Madison, Indiana for many years until they closed. Her first marriage in 1962 to Jerry Wayne Gray blessed her with two daughters, Tina and Rhonda. She then was united in marriage to Larry Michael Green, whom she married on September 10, 1986, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Frances and Larry's union lasted for 40 years until her passing. Frances was a woman of faith, a member of the Hebron Baptist Church. She took pleasure in participating in the ladies group at church. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading books, cooking delicious meals, and watching sermons on TV.

She is survived by her daughters Tina McClure (Nelson) and Rhonda Scholl from her first marriage to Jerry Wayne Gray; her loving husband of 40 years, Larry Green; her stepchildren Julie and Michael Green; her sisters Helen Seel and Linda Hunt; her grandchildren Amber Howard (Jeremy), Ryan Scholl (Jade Moore) Megan Scholl (Josh Adams), Hannah Handlon (Joey), Chance Giar (Taylor); her step-grandchildren Kelly, Tish and family; her great-granchildren Derek, Kaylee, Annie, Conner, Will, Owen, Kjeston, Rebecca, Izayah, Flynn, Brooklyn, Saydee, William, Dylan, Kinley, Farryn, Lochlan, Raylah, Elijah, Elias, Antony; her great-great-grandchildren Nash Wynn, DJ Davis and Jax. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold M. "Red" Waldrop and Colene Mary Money Waldrop; her brother Kenneth Waldrop; her mother and father-in-law Olive and Buddy Green; her grandson Tony Hensley.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, Indiana, 47250. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the same venue. Interment will then follow in the Brooksburg Cemetery near Madison, Indiana.
