Elizabeth Willis

Elizabeth Anne Willis, was born on July 29, 1982, in Madison, Indiana the daughter of Geoffrey and Ruth Schmidlap Willis. Elizabeth resided in Jefferson County all of her life and was a 2000 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. She dedicated much of her life to her work as an Inspector at Madison Precision Products, where she began in 2007. Known for her love of country cruising while listening to music and rollerskating, she also found joy in spending quality time with her nieces and nephew. Elizabeth was also a proud member of the Faith Lutheran Church and was known as an aunt to many children, a testament to the love and care she showed to all. Her dedication to family and close friends was the cornerstone of her life. Elizabeth passed away on August 12, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky.

She is survived by her loving parents, Geoffrey and Ruth Willis of Hanover, Indiana; her sister Sara Willis of Hanover, Indiana; her aunts and uncles Anne Gibson (Tim) of Madison, Indiana, John Schmidlap (Vickie) of Jacksonville, Florida, Roger Schmidlap of Hanover, Indiana, Bill Willis (Julia) of Pennsville, New Jersey, Suzy Barsh (Detlev) of Barnegat, New Jersey; her best friends Tonya Grubbs (John) of Milton, Kentucky and Renee Hughes (David) of Sellersburg, Indiana; her nieces and nephew Khloey, Chevy, Kylie, Alexis and David; her several cousins, friends and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Glen and Fredalynne Schmidlap, William and Virginia Willis; her uncles Edward Schmidlap and Kennard Willis; her aunt Lyn Zitzner; her fiance John Robbins.

The visitation will be held at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, located at 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, Indiana, 47250 on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 4:00p.m. - 7:00 p.m., and again on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The funeral service will follow the second visitation at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Kent Cemetery near Kent, Indiana.
