"Dani" Danielle Nicole Riley Obituary (1993

HANOVER CHAPELMs. Danielle "Dani" Nicole Riley, age 27, of Kent, Indiana entered this life on June 11, 1993 in Madison, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of Gregory Lee Riley and Donna Sue Lynch Duke. She resided all of her life in Jefferson County and graduated in 2012 from Southwestern High School. Dani enjoyed playing varsity basketball for three years and varsity softball for four years during her high school years. Dani was a hard worker all of her life and began working at Lowe's Distribution right out of high school. Dani was proud to have completed 10 years with the Jefferson County 4-H program. She then worked for four years at the Madison Correctional Facility as a guard and then for two years at the Muscatatuck Training Centre in Butlerville. She had currently been working for Global Services as an armed guard prior to her sudden death. Dani was baptized and a member of the First Christian Church of Hanover. She served as a firefighter with the Hanover Community Fire Department and was the sportsman committee leader for the Goodwill Conservation Club. Dani was known for her pure heart, was a fearless hard worker, was an old soul at heart, and always thought of others first. Her best friend and companion was her dog Remington. She was proud to have bought her first truck. For fun, you could find Dani out riding 4-wheelers, caring for her cows, playing cards especially euchre, going fishing and hunting, target practicing, watching UK basketball, and watching any old television show, especially Little House on the Prairie and Gun Smoke. On the basket ball court, she was a natural born leader and put her heart into the game, the team and the school spirit. Dani fought a courageous battle beginning with Covid and the effects that came with the disease. Her death has been deeply felt in her family, community and the loss is great. Her nieces and nephews brought great joy and love to her life and she enjoyed showering them with her love and attention. Dani will be remembered for her love of family and the kindness, joy and gifts she brought when she walked into your presence. Dani passed into eternal life on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at 6:03 p.m. at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Brenda Patton, Alvin Patton, Marilyn Riley, Dewey Lynch and Bill Duke, her great grandmother, Lois "G.G." Jackson, and her great grandparents, Finley and Sudie Lynch. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 6, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., by Minister Jamie Hall, Pastor Chuck Justice, and Bro. Mark Roseberry at the Southwestern Elementary School Cafeteria, 273 South Main Cross Street in Hanover, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Lick Branch Cemetery near Deputy, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may visit Friday from 4:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the Southwestern Elementary School Gymnasium, 273 South Main Cross Street Hanover, Indiana and Saturday after 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at the Southwestern Elementary School Cafeteria, 273 South Main Cross Street in Hanover, Indiana. FIREMAN'S SERVICEThe fireman of the Hanover Comunity Fire Department will honor the memory of Dani on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Southwestern Elementary School Gymnasium.
