Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of Mrs. Cleata Eleanor Lockridge Lyons Mrs. Cleata E. Lockridge Lyons, age 87, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on September 11, l931 in Jefferson County, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Bernard and Freida Ritchie Lockridge. She was a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, Indiana and attended school there. On May 4, l949 she was united in marriage to James William Lyons. She was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church in downtown Madison. Cleata was a homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, reading and being with her children. Early in life she had worked at the Central State Hospital in Kentucky. Cleata died on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at 1:05 a.m. at the Water's of Clifty Falls in Madison, Indiana. Click Here For Tribute A LOVING FAMILY Cleata will be missed by her loving daughters, Patricia Consley and her husband, Larry of Madison, Indiana, Beverly Lyons of Newburgh, Indiana, Debora Mitchell and her husband, Rev. Rollin Mitchell of Plainfield, Indiana; two sons, Dennis Lyons and his wife, Sherry of Madison, Indiana, James Allen Lyons of Madison, Indiana; her son in law, Tim Schermer and his wife, Deanna of Milton, Kentucky; 14-grandchildren, 20-great grandchildren; 1-great great grandchild; her sister in law, Barbara Lyons of Las Vegas, Nevada; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Lockridge, her mother, Freida Ritchie Lockridge, her son, Donald Lee Lyons, died February 23, 2008, her daughter, Nancy K. Lyons, died June 21, 2002, her daughter, Barbara J. Schermer, died September 24, 2004, her sister, Betty Dickerson, her husband of 68 years, James William Lyons, died February 28, 2017. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 24, 2018, at 4:00 p.m., by Rev. Robert Leach at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre - Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens,9306 North US 421 near Madison, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may visit Saturday from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre - Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, Indiana.
