Charles Raymond "Ray" Mccracken, Jr. Obituary (1938

Mr. Charles Raymond "Ray" McCracken, Jr., age 83, of Oviedo, Florida entered this life on October 24, 1938 in Wheeling, West Virginia. He was the loving son of the late Charles R. Sr. and Mary Isabel Myers McCracken. His family moved to Madison when he was thirteen and his family were members of the Madison Presbyterian Church in downtown Madison. He graduated in 1958 from Madison High School and then graduated as a biologist from Michigan State. Charles was inducted into the United States Army and later transferred to the National Guard Reserves. He was united in marriage on May 10, 1964 to Lillian "Linnie" Pryor in East Lansing, Michigan. He resided in East Lansing from 1964--1973 and then moved to Florida. He worked early in life for Rexnord in Madison. He had last worked with the Florida State Game Commission as a wild life biologist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and photography. Ray died on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at his home in Oviedo, Florida . A LOVING FAMILY Ray will be missed by his loving son, David McCracken of Oviedo, Florida; his daughter, Laura McCracken Seward and her husband, T.J. of Oviedo, Florida; his two grandchildren; his sister, Carole McCracken Hanson of Madison, Indiana; his niece, Ashley Schutte and her husband, John of Madison, Indiana; his nephew, Christian Hanson and his wife, Trina of Madison, Indiana; his two great nieces and his one great nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles R. McCracken, Jr., died February 6, 1986 and his mother, Mary Isabel Myers McCracken, died July 11, 1981.
