Cecil Vernon "Butch" Robinson Obituary (1945

Mr. Cecil Vernon "Butch" Robinson, age 79, of East Enterprise, Indiana entered this life on December 31, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the loving son of the late Garvey Vernon Robinson and Lorraine Scudder Robinson Weber. He was raised in Switzerland County and schooled there. He was inducted into the United States Army on July 1, 1964 in Louisville, Kentucky. He rose to the rate of Private First Class serving during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged on June 23, 1966 receiving the Combat Infantryman Badge, Vietnam Service Medal, Marksman Badge, and National Defense Service Medal. He was united in marriage to Judy Kay Kiny and this union was blessed with one son, Vernon John. This happy union ended after five years with the death of Judy on December 18, 1982. He worked early in life with his father in the pipeline industry and on the family farm. He worked as a truck driver for 30 years, having driven for Indiana Heavy Specialized Carriers (M & M) and for Aqua Slide and Dive. He held memberships in the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion, the Madison VFW Post 1969, and the Indian-Kentuck Baptist Church in Canaan. He had resided in Madison for many years and the past six years in East Enterprise. Butch died on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 6:15 p.m, at his home in East Enterprise, Indiana. Please Click Here to View the Video Tribute Please Click Here to View the Funeral Service Recording A LOVING FAMILY Butch will be missed by his loving son, Vernon John Robinson of East Enterprise, Indiana; his stepdaughters, Billy Kiny of San Antonio, Texas, Jody Kiny of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Michael, Kaylan, Cassandra, and Kyla; 5 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Kyle Robinson of Vevay, Indiana, Stanley Robinson of Vevay, Indiana, Terry Michael Weber of Owensboro, Kentucky; his sisters, Patty Weber Robertson of Dumfries, Virginia, Cheryl Stevens and her husband, Jim of Bedford, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Garvey Vernon Robinson, his mother, Lorraine Scudder Robinson Weber, his wife of five years, Judy Kay Kiny Robinson, died December 18, 1982, his brothers, Perry Robinson and Harold Vernon Robinson. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Rod Asher at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may visit Monday, December 22, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. MILITARY HONORSA final salute with military honors will be provided by the Major Samuel Woodfill Post No. 9 of the American Legion.
