Candy (Bessalene) Rigsby Mckinley Obituary (1944

Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory ofMrs. Candy (Bessalene) Rigsby McKinley Mrs. Candy (Bessalene) Rigsby McKinley, age 73, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on May 21, 1944 in Dehart (Morgan county), Kentucky. She was the daughter of John Floyd and Florence Blevins Rigsby. Candy was united in marriage on April 18, 1966 in Madison, Indiana to Gary W. McKinley. This happy union was married for forty four years until Gary's death on May 24, 2010. This union was blessed with two sons and two daughters to bless their home. Candy had been employed as an Activities Director and a Qualified Medication Aide at Hanover Nursing Center. She loved music, performing and organizing. Candy played the acoustic and electric guitar, piano, bass guitar and other instruments for family and residents of Hanover Nursing Center. She organized the nursing home haunted house every year for Halloween as part of being the activities director. Candy died on Monday, October 2, 2017, at 9:40 a.m. at the River Terrace Health Campus in Madison, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILYCandy will be missed by her sons, Jeffrey McKinley of Madison, Indiana and Patrick Rogers of Lexington, Indiana; her daughters, Terry Earl and her husband, Curt of Madison, Indiana, Amy Hayden and her husband, Doug of Columbus, Indiana; her grandchildren, Ryan McKinley, Nikola McKinley, Candy Crum of Seymour, Indiana, Amanda Combs of Brownstown, Indiana, Courtney Rogers and Cody Rogers of Madison, Indiana; her great-grandchildren, Addison McKinley, Brandon and Matthew Crum, Charlee Combs; her brothers, Bob Rigsby, Bill Rigsby and Bernal Rigsby; her sister, Beverly Smith. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Rigsby; her mother, Florence Blevins Rigsby; her husband of 44 years, Gary W. McKinley, died on May 24, 2010.
