Bonnie "Mo" Sue Calvert Obituary (1948

Bonnie "Mo" Sue Calvert, age 77, of Lexington, Indiana formerly of Hanover, entered this life on May 18, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of the late John W. and Almyra Freeman Calvert. She had resided in Jefferson County since 1954 and was a 1966 graduate of Southwestern High School in Hanover, Indiana. She worked early in life for the U.S. Shoe Corporation for several years. She retired after 33 years of service with Arvin Meritor in Carrollton, Kentucky. She enjoyed going to flea markets, festivals, and traveling. She enjoyed membership in the Bunco Club. Bonnie died on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 5:17 a.m. at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Please Click Here to View the Video Tribute Please Click Here to View the Funeral Service Recording A LOVING FAMILY Bonnie will be missed by her loving companion of 25 years, Donald Abbott, Sr. of Lexington, Indiana; her grandson, Bret Kenith Abbott; her sisters, Barbara Johnson of Hanover, Indiana, Martha LaGrand of Hanover, Indiana, Judy McMahan of Louisville, Kentucky; her brother, Mark Calvert and his wife, Marge of Madison, Indiana; her sisters in law, Rose Calvert of Bedford, Kentucky, Deanna Calvert of Dupont, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, John W. Calvert, died April 1, 1984, her mother, Almyra Freeman Calvert, died May 7, 2008, her brothers, Ronald L. Calvert, Sr. died April 16, 2011, John William "Billy" Calvert, Jr., died February 21, 2012, Robert Michael "Mike" Calvert, died May 18, 2021, her sisters, Sharon Lynn Abbott, died January 13, 2001 and Patricia Charlene "Patty" Box, died September 24, 2021. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre-Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, Indiana. Interment will follow in the New Prospect Cemetery near Hanover, Indiana. VISITATION Friends may visit Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre-Hanover Chapel, 278 East Main Street in Hanover, Indiana.
