Mrs. Arbie Jewell Payne Richmond, age 86, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on December 20, 1923, in Louisa, Kentucky, the daughter of Lee & Julie Salmons Payne, both of whom preceded her in death. She was raised in Louisa & also in West Virginia. She was united in marriage on December 22, 1946 in Covington, Virginia to Charles Edward Richmond. To this union arrived two sons and a daughter to bless their home. She was retired from the Burlington Silk Mill in Covington, Virginia. She had resided in Madison the past twenty five years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandma. She was a member of the West Street Ministries Arbie died Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. at the Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover, Indiana. A LOVING FAMILY Mrs. Richmond will be missed by her loving daughter: Sherry Lynn Harris & her husband: Michael of Madison, Indiana; her loving sons: Michael Edward Richmond & his wife: Laura of Summit Point, West Virginia, Gary Wayne Richmond & his wife: Carol of Martinsburg, West Virginia; her sister: Bertha Mauck of Manassas, Virginia; her grandchildren: Laryssa Jewell Richmond; Daniel Richmond; Christopher Michael Harris; Stephanie Lynn Beard; Rebecca Marie Brock; her great grandchildren: Tatum Denise Harris, Olivia Page Harris, Claire Mackenzie Harris, Tucker Jay Harris, Ryley Crull, Zachery Richmond Beard, Conner Jacob Beard, Brodie Phillip Brock & Stella Rose Brock; several nieces, nephews & other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lee & Julie Salmons Payne; her husband: Charles Edward Richmond died: December 6, 1975; her brothers: Leo & Otis Payne; her sister: Iris Lewis. FUNERAL CEREMONY Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 4:00 p.m., by the Rev. Jerry Wheeler at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the in Covington, Virginia. VISITATION Friends may call Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
