Mrs. Marjorie L. Gray Bright, age 83 of Madison, entered this life on July 14, 1927 in Jefferson County, Indiana. She was the daughter of the late William Alta & Mabel Henry Gray. She was raised in Jefferson County and was a 1945 graduate of Hanover High School in Hanover, Indiana. Marjorie was employed with the U.S. Shoe Corporation for several years. She was united in marriage on November 28, 1948 at the Liberty Methodist Church near Hanover, Indiana to Marvin "Cobbie" Bright. To this happy union arrived a son and a daughter to bless their home. She had retired as an office secretary for the Madison Consolidated School System in the 1980's. She was a devoted wife, mother & grandmother. She was a perfect seamstress and enjoyed making her children's clothes. Marjorie was an avid gardener and enjoyed beautiful flowers. She had attended the Trinity United Methodist Church in downtown Madison and the Hanover United Methodist Church. Marjorie was awaiting the birth of her fifth great grandchild. Marjorie died Friday, July 30, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. at Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover Indiana.
A LOVING FAMILY
Marjorie will be missed by her husband of sixty two years: Marvin "Cobbie" Bright of Madison, Indiana; her daughter: Julie Sparks & her husband: Gary of Madison, Indiana; her son: Marvin Rodney Bright of Seminole, Florida; her granddaughter: Holly Christian Sloas & her husband: Andy of Houston, Texas; her grandson: Christopher Ryan Sparks & his wife Christen of Birmingham, Alabama; her great grandchildren: Parker Lane & Kellen Reid Sloas; Christopher Luke & Aubrey Lynn Sparks; her sister: Andrea Buxton of Hanover, Indiana; several nieces, nephews & other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents: William Alta & Mabel Henry Gray; her step mother: Gertrude Kay Gray died: Sept. 14, 2009 and two infant brothers: Everett & Marvin.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., by Dr. Paul Brewster, at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Chapel, 1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
VISITATION
Friends may call Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Chapel, 1415 North Gate Road in Madison, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or the Salvation Army. Cards are available at the funeral home.
