Mr. Harold F. Tandy, Sr., age 77, of Hanover, Indiana, entered this life on January 8, 1933, in Madison, Indiana. He was raised by his mother & step father; Lucy Morrison Tandy Jones & Charles Jones. He was raised in Madison and attended Madison High School. He was united in marriage on December 12, 1958 in Shelbyville, Indiana to Lois E. Smith. Harold was a truck driver by trade, having worked in this career for over 45 years. He drove for Courier Newsome Express, Roadway, Yellow Freight, Madison River Terminal and retired from Tandy's Trucking Company. He also had served as a patrolman for the City of Madison Police Department in the 1950's. He drove a wrecker for Risk Garage in the 1950's and owned and operated the Standard Service Station in Hanover in the 1960's. He was co-owner of C & T Salvage from 1978-1985. He was a member of the Teamster's Local 407 in Cleveland, Ohio, the Stack's of Power Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Madison Moose Lodge #765. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. He enjoyed in his spare time playing cards, camping, going down to the Ohio River and watching the Old River Boats. He enjoyed Country Music, especially Willie Nelson & Boxcar Willie and watching NASCAR. Harold died Monday, March 8, 2010 at 12:35 a.m.; at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

Smith Tandy of Hanover, Indiana; his loving daughters: Karen Weaver & her husband: Terry of Madison, Indiana, Darla Purvis of Hanover, Indiana, Kristen Rogers & her husband: Kendall of Hanover, Indiana; his loving sons: Harold Fred Tandy, Jr. & his companion: Pam Graham of Madison, Indiana, Kevin Tandy of Madison, Indiana, Bruce Tandy & his wife: Cheryl of Madison, Indiana; his loving grandchildren: T. J. Weaver & his wife: Sacha; Troy Weaver & his companion: Shari; Trevor Weaver & his wife: Amy; Clayton Tandy & his companion: Hilary, Caleb Tandy & his wife: Ashley; Rochelle Tandy; Katie Purvis; Kevin Tandy, Jr.; Megan Tandy; Alaina Tandy; Keegan & Kobe Rogers; his great grandchildren: Corey, Dakota, Cassidy Weaver; Zachary Liter; Christian & Molly Tandy; his step grandchildren: Brendan & Brianna Thomas; his nephews: Kevin & Richard Tandy of both of Rotan, Texas and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother: Lucy Morrison Tandy Jones; his step father: Charles Jones; his daughter in law: Marge Tandy died: Dec. 21, 2003; his brothers: Charles David Tandy, Donald Bernard Tandy & William Morrison Tandy.


FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., by the Rev. John A. Meyer at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Springdale Cemetery in downtown Madison, Indiana.


VISITATION
Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
