Mrs. Anna Glenn Field Howell, age 86, of Scottsburg, Indiana, entered this life on May 13, 1923, in Toulon, Illinois, the daughter of Samuel Richard & Lillie Betty Moore Field. Glenn was raised in Toulon until the age of seven. In 1930, her parents moved to Kent, Indiana for four years and then spent time living in Graham Township. In 1940, Glenn graduated from Deputy High School with the honor of class Salutatorian. After high school, she spent two years attaining a degree in Medical Record Science as an Accredited Record Technician. She then attended Indiana University Southeast to finish her degree. Every year there after Glenn would continue her education with additional credit hours that were required by the American Medical Records Association. In 1950, Glenn moved to Scott County where she resided the rest of her life. In 1978, Glenn served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Southeastern Indiana Medical Record Association and then in 1979, she took the role of President. Glenn enjoyed working in the S.S. department at Morgan Packing Company in Austin, Indiana, and typing for an insurance agency there. During the war she worked for the American Central Factory in Connersville, Indiana installing devices on airplanes. She retired May 30, 1988, after 29 years of service as the Director of Medical Records for the Scott County Memorial Hospital. The 11 years prior to retirement she served as the Director of Affirmative Action for the Handicapped. The Pilot Club meant a lot to Glenn. She earned "Handicapped Professional Woman Of the Year in Scott County", and also the Indiana & Michigan Pilot Club State Level Past Treasurer. Glenn was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Lexington. Glenn died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 11:40 a.m.. at the Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana.

Glenn will be missed by her daughter: Brenda Marlene Broadus of Lexington, Indiana; her granddaughter: Selina Zollman; her grandsons: Anthony Lloyd Broadus and his wife: LaDonna and John Mark Broadus and his wife: Deana; her great grandchildren: Tumeka Lea Patton, Tara Tenille Patton, Rudy Michael Reinhart; Aaron Matthew Reinhart, Shane Andrew Broadus, Anthony Lloyd Broadus, II, Lillie & Magdalene Broadus; three great great grandchildren; her sisters: Betty Marie Nay of Deputy, Indiana, Martha Lee Stephanus of Lexington, Indiana; her brother: R. Dale Field & his wife: Mary Frances of Greenwood, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, cousins & other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father: Samuel Richard Field died: 1987; her mother: Lillie Betty Moore Field died: Sept. 27, 1998.


FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 5, 2010 at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Steve Brackney, at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Springdale Cemetery in downtown Madison, Indiana.


VISITATION
Friends may call Thursday from 4:00 pm - 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 12 Noon until time of the service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
